Our Foundation

Coenza™ is a brand of Essential Phosphates Ltd, an R&D-focused biotechnology company, headquartered in Vilnius, Lithuania. Founded with a focus on anticancer drug research, Essential Phosphates has evolved to serve the broader life sciences market, through specialized expertise in Coenzyme A and its derivatives, complex nucleoside analogs, phosphoramidites, and innovative synthesis technologies. Our team of 19 scientists, including 5 PhDs, brings proven experience in complex molecule development, process optimization, and custom synthesis to deliver solutions that advance scientific research.

Introducing Coenza

Coenza™ was launched in 2024 by Essential Phosphates Ltd to focus exclusively on Coenzyme A (CoA) and other phosphate-based compounds. Headquartered in Vilnius, Lithuania, with warehousing in both Vilnius and Chicago, the brand addresses growing demand for high‑purity, well-characterized CoA compounds, biosynthetic intermediates, and custom coenzyme solutions for pharmaceutical, biochemical, and life science applications. We currently offer over 70 Coenzyme A derivatives that include a broad range of structural modifications and different salt forms. All products are available in both small and bulk quantities, with custom synthesis and packaging options to meet the specific needs of our partners’ projects.

2017

2020

Essential Phosphates Ltd was founded with a primary focus on researching anticancer drugs.

Based on the findings, a manufacturing spin-off company was established. Essential Phosphates Ltd shifted focus to the research, development, and production of modified nucleosides.

2023

Following successful R&D advancements, a second spin-off started, dedicated to Coenzyme A and its derivatives. Initiation of photolithographic maskless DNA synthesis technology development.
